On November 19, Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), the subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), named and delivered the 109,900 DWT product/ crude oil tanker No. 1 constructed for COSCO SHIPPING Energy. The naming guest Xu Lu named the ship "Yuan Lan Wan". Zhou Junping, Secretary of the Working Committee of Hainan Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Liu Hanbo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of COSCO Shipping Energy, and Chen Ji, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of GSI witnessed the naming.
Zhao Jinwen, deputy general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Energy, Zheng Minsheng, deputy general manager of the Asia Pacific Department of China Shipbuilding Trading, and Jin Lichao, deputy general manager of GSI, signed the "Yuan Lan Bay" delivery document on behalf of the three parties.
It is understood that the ship is a large Aframax independently researched and developed by GSI. It is the first ship that GSI has obtained the i-ship (E) smart ship certification symbol. It is equipped with WINGD 6X62 main engine, which is the fast and low fuel consumption—internationally leading performance. The ship meets the standard HCSR structure specification. The cargo area meets the COT-PSPC, is equipped with anti-piracy countermeasures, and has excellent safety. Through measures such as cargo/fuel leakage prevention measures, SCR systems, ballast water management, etc., ship operations' have reduced environmental impact.
